Implementation of maintenance systems

This is how we implement in 5 project days

The most common way to implement a maintenance system is to use a five-day starter kit together with Idus consultans. Five days ensures that you get started with all the modules you want to use from the beginning and that everything will work in the best possible way.

Day 1. We choose the right level of ambition and goals

The implementation begins with a start-up meeting where your project group meets the application consultant sent by Idus. Together, we decide which goals are appropriate and how the system should be adapted to your business.

We then insert part of your facility according to the standard and template that we agree best fits your type of business. A sawmill, for example, is not divided in the same way as a treatment plant, and therefore we decide together how your plant can be organized in the best way.

For the next occasion, you will be given the task to start entering the necessary information about the facility, for example parts of your technical equipment, parts of your recurring maintenance and parts of the maintenance warehouse.

Day 2. We draw up your maintenance process

On day two, we draw up your future maintenance process, that is the flow from when an work request is created to when the work is completed and reported back. We also decide who does what in the system, for example who receives work requstsand distributes work orders to who goes through completed work orders and marks jobs as completed.

For the next opportunity, you continue to put in equipment, recurring work and materials.

Day 3. We adapt your system to your business

It may be that Idus pre-configured user groups match your business, but sometimes something may need to be adjusted in the user groups for the system to suit your business.

During day three, we adapt your system with the right settings and configurations so that the system is tailored to your business and meets the goals established during the first day.

Day 4. We train your super users

During days four and five it is then time for training. We start by training the super users who will be able to handle most of the system. Superusers manage everything from creating new logins to adding new suppliers.

Day 5. We train your maintenance technicians and operations personnel

During the last day, we continue with training the users, for example maintenance technicians. Here we show, among other things, how to close a work order and how to end a job. In addition, we provide machine operators and other personnel with a username, password and link to the work requst form.

After these five days, you are completely ready to start using the system and you have then had the best possible start to your maintenance journey with a completely new system support.
